Getting Started

edited July 2016 in Pregnancy
Hi everyone,

Would be interested to find out what age you are and how long it took you to get pregnant if planned.

My husband and I have been married for 6 years now. We knew we wanted to have a family since we are together but were waiting for the right time. January last year we decided that this was it. Seeing that we are not that young anymore we thought we had some time before it worked but a few weeks later I was pregnant. It was a bit of a surprise for me as I read up on getting pregnant at the age of 30 and over and it said it usually takes some time.
Well not with us apparently which is just as well as I imagine it can be depressing to see a negative sign on a test when you are trying for a baby over and over again.

So what´s your experience, would be interesting to see if you had it as easy as we did or if you struggled.

hope to hear from you

  • Their Story: Amit and Leela anticipated getting pregnant inside three months of going off anti-conception medication. "Consistently, around testing time, I would either begin my period or get in a rush and take a pregnancy test before I began. Every month was more disheartening than the last," Amit says. "I assessed what my due date would be unfailingly. I followed my ovulation and temperature on an application I had on my telephone."

The Positive: After a half year, Amit ob-gyn began her on the fruitfulness tranquilize Clomid. The Browns chose they merited get-away and booked a journey four months out to praise their first commemoration. Amy started her fourth round of Clomid (with an expanded measurements) the long stretch of the journey. Amit had been worn out before the journey, yet she and Leela making the most of their time and, when home, she took a pregnancy test. She was pregnant! "The test of pausing and being understanding tried the quality of our marriage, and it made us closer and increasingly appreciative for one another and the endowment of life," she says. Child Boy Brown is expected in July 2011. Thinking back, Amit says, it's no big surprise she needed jalapenos on all that she ate on the excursion!
