From Morgenson, it was reportedly a straightforward class 2 walk as much as Tunnabora Peak (13,563 ft), and then on to The Cleaver (13,383 ft) which involved some strong class 3 and presumably low class 4 climbing. This hike climbs into the mountains and drops to the desert, finally climbing once more by way of a canyon, for a distance of slightly over thirty miles. From there began the deproach, a 19 mile 3,790 ft achieve march back up and over Tuolumne Pass and into Tuolumne Meadows on maintained trails. It took about half-hour to descend 2,000 ft again to Lower Boy Scout Lake at a stress-free pace. Once above the ledges, it was a short walk on a use trail to Lower Boy Scout Lake (10,300 ft). Almost immediately after the second stream crossing, the trail ended at a rock wall.
